I know I haven’t kept this blog updated in a while. I think it has almost been six months since the last post. The truth is I kinda forgot about this dev blog and I have been a lot more focused on instagram on twitter… but mainly instagram.

Since the last post I have reprioritized my social media strategy. First, I noticed that facebook was not really doing anything for me. Facebook just isn’t a good platform for growing an audience. Facebook’s algorithm pretty much don’t show my post unless I share it on my profile and I felt that I was starting to spam my own profile.  This wouldn’t be a problem if my game development update post were getting more people to see my Missile Circus page.

Instagram has been a lot better, which is weird since Facebook owns Instagram. Random people actually see my post, and some even like and follow now.

I’m more focused on social media because it is the cheapest way I have to market Bacons On A Boat and marketing is very very important, without it no one would know about the game. Also I don’t have a ton of money to put ads everywhere. I don’t have a publisher, so I have become my own. In the future, I think I should hire someone do something to help in this process.

If you aren’t following the progress of my game development on social media,  then here are some highlights.

And cats

I've been busy making more items and fixing bugs in the game, but I think it will worth it. There is a lot I still need to do before beta release.
